Scholarship Information

There are many Indian programs available and you have the opportunity to take advantage of these, but you must make the efforts. If you do not live in the State of Alabama, contact the State Indian Affairs Commission where you do live.
Please go to the website indicated below, print and fill out the forms or come by the UCAN Tribal Community Center February 5th, 2005 and pick one up. Fill out the form completely. Please compile your information concerning any acknowledged in your school career or any of the categories listed for any action or honor, please make sure you copy the certificate of have your schools sponsor list your accomplishments. That makes for less paper, but you do not want to leave acknowledgement out.
The award of the scholarships are on a Point System. Do not limit your accomplishments to your high school career. When you ask for a letter of any kind from anyone, ask for several copies to have available to apply for any other opportunities. The people you approach will not mind making 2 or 3 originals while it is fresh on their mind versus coming back 3 years from now. Have all your information into the Community Center by February 19th, 2005. This will give us enough time to look over your data for completion.
